A shimmering chaos narrates the evolution from video art to digital art through the presentation of various installations by international artists which were exhibited between 1991 and 1995 at the Nahon, Philippe Gravier and Zekou art galleries in Paris, at the Vidéoformes Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, at the Multimediale 4 of the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) in Karlsruhe in Germany and at the WRO Media art Biennale in Wroclaw in Poland.

The documentary speaks of the 1990s by retracing the years of the 1970s and the 80s.

It talks about Nam June Paik and art, communication and satellite art, about Ko Nakajima and a personal exhibition The soul of wood, about Klaus Vom Bruch and his video installation The end of the century.
It shows « a new experimental landscape » through various immersive and interactive installations at the ZKM, and finally three music performances and the beginning of the Web with Douglas David and his project The World's First Collective Sentence at the WRO Media art Biennale 1995.
